Show or hide desktop icons is a small app that sits in your taskbar and allows you too hide your desktop icon simply by double clicking an empty space on your desktop and then just double click on the desktop to show them again, alternatively you can right click the taskbar icon and select to toggle the icons from there. You can always still use the Windows built in option to show the icons at any point.
